I took this photo driving out of Boulder on one of the sunny days after a snowy aftermath. It made the chaos of the highway go away. And above all, we weren't suffocating anymore.
This will probably be one of the more commercial posts that I will ever make; only because I intend textural things to focus more on visual stimulation rather than fueling consumerism by being a digital poster child. Though I may not be in any real professional position to inject such opinions, I hope to use this blog as an outlet to bring forth interesting design elements through the untrained eye. However, some things I just can't help but fuel that consumerist fire. I don't know if my close proximity to the Rocky Mountains has anything to do with my love for outdoor wear (let alone fashionable outdoor wear) but a recent encounter with the above Chevignon Heritage puffer coat on slamxhype sent me e-scouring for its fairer counterpart. Though its missing that gaudy vintage-styled patch on the back, Penfield makes some beautifully fitted puffers with similar leather yokes for both men and women:
And for those who can't/won't shell out the benjamins for a Chevignon Heritage or Penfield, I found an equally tasteful selection of vintage coats on etsy. Pictured below are some pretty solid examples for men.. (can I also make a quick side note re: how thrilled I am to see more vintage shops for men with exceptional selections? bravo.):
